In this collection, Galliano said he was inspired by how Dior's creations were reflected in the work of Irving Penn, Cecil Beaton, Lillian Bassman, Christian Berard, and René Gruau. And I think this collection was used to say thank you to Christian Dior. So you can see there are many items are similar to New Look whiach are elegance.
