Spring 2005

In this collection ,John Galliano wanted to create a dream that recaptured all the romantic, gasp-inducing poetry. You can see that the combination of flat pointed knee boots and raised-waist dresses amounts to a whole new proposition in silhouette and style. He added new fabrics and colors to this collection—the threadbare red damasks and velvet, turned into sumptuous, puffy dresses and worn with Cavalier hats, or the delicately sumptuous embroideries on Napoleonic coats and Josephine gowns. So you can see although this collection used less colors, it still had good effect and a lot people gave it a big hand.
